This week Google RPC – gRPC has hatched. Just to show you how silly the Acronym space is these days, check out this link. There are six acronyms there and none of them are close. It turns out that gRPC is short for Google Remote Procedure calls. BitWorking points out that this is a new HTTP/2 and Protocol buffer based system for building APIs and Googles third system for web APIs, after Google Data and JSON.
